Drywall is by comparison the most used and common construction material for building walls. Basically, drywall is a gypsum board core wrapped in paper or matted fiberglass. There are texturizing guns that spray a foam like material onto your walls. The material comes dry and is mixed with water. There are different sizes of foam particles and even different colors for a variety of looks. It is important to get the right mixture of texturizer and water. Once you do, you can spray the texture on the wall in an even coat. If you find one coat unsatisfactory, allow overnight drying time then apply a second coat. The more coats you apply the thicker and more noticeable the texture will be.

When considering a drywall alternative, think carefully about the benefits and drawbacks. You will want to research each alternative to make sure it really is what you want. In general, drywall is a great material for residential and commercial applications. Some drywall is actually treated with fire-resistant and mildew resistant materials.
